Marijuana Consumption and Applications from Convicted Criminals
This seminar will focus on Massachusetts’ recent vote of “Yes” on Question 4 (Regulation and Taxation of Marijuana), as well as HUD’s April 2016 Guidelines regarding a landlord’s consideration of criminal convictions in the housing application process.
Along with review of the above law and guidelines, we will discuss “best practices” in handling resident issues/complaints/concerns involving marijuana (smoking vs. consumables), as well as various policies/considerations in addressing discovered/disclosed criminal convictions.
